Nick Melling owns and manages The Housing Connection and is the principle consultant and interim manager.
After a successfull career in construction and housing related operations Nick became self-employed in 2005 and has carried out many property services and asset management related consultancy and interim assignments. He has covered most of the senior management posts in property management, for large RSLs, ranging from Director of Property Services to Head of Compliance and Asset Management.
Nick has a degree in civil engineering from Imperial College, London University. He is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, a chartered engineer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He had a successful career in construction culminating in being Group Contracts Director for ERG Ltd operating primarily in the water industry. Nick led a workforce of over 100 engineers and project managers delivering complex turnkey projects.
After switching to housing in 2003 Nick held the posts of Director of Change and Innovation at United House Ltd (now United Living) and Regional Director at Mears PLC.
Nick was a board member and Chair of Radcliffe Housing Society from 2011 to 2018.
